According to website CARtoday.com, General Motors South Africa has said it would introduce both the Cadillac BLS – based on the underpinnings of the Saab 9-3 and powered by either a 2.8-litre V6 turbocharged petrol or 1.9-litre four cylinder turbodiesel engine – and its larger, executive saloon sibling, the CTS (powered by a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine) early in 2007.

The Port Elizabeth-based company planned to expand the range into other segments “within 12 months thereafter”, the website said.
