According to the Financial Times, there are indications that Delphi unions will not accept the supplier’s latest pay cut proposal, raising the spectre of a full-blown strike.

The Communications Workers of America (CWA) union, which represents around a quarter of Delphi’s 34,000 blue-collar workforce, is reported to have written to Delphi’s chief negotiator saying that hopes to reach an agreement this week are ludicrous.
The United Auto Workers Union (UAW), which represents around the bulk of the remaining three quarters of the blue-collar workforce, was due to report back on Wednesday.
The company has said it will file a motion on Friday asking a bankruptcy judge to throw out existing labour contracts if such a deal is not reached.
