Sales by Renault through official dealerships in Russia soared to over 10,000 vehicles in January-March, compared with 4,661 cars in the same period last year, Avtoframos general director Jean-Michel Jalinier told a news conference on Monday.

Avtoframos is a joint venture between the Moscow city government and Renault, Prime-Tass noted.
Of the total, the company sold more than 7,000 Renault Logan models, he said.
Other Renault models available on the Russian market include the Symbol, Clio, Megane and Laguna.
In 2005, Renault’s sales in Russia rose 81% year on year to 29,177 cars.
Renault holds 93.41% in Avtoframos, while the Moscow government holds 6.59%.
