Once construction is completed, DNTR will transfer its operations to the new facility.
Construction is set to begin in July and be completed by June 2007. Production is scheduled to start in August 2007. The total investment by 2007 will be approximately EUR18m.
“Because of sales growth in Turkey, we decided we needed to enhance our capability to produce air conditioners,” said Hikaru Sugi, managing officer in charge of Denso’s thermal systems business group.
By 2010, with the new facility, DNTR will increase annual production capability of air conditioning units from its current approximately 140,000 to approximately 250,000, and the number of employees from nearly 120 to approximately 220.
