TFTD is a joint venture between Toyota and FAW to produce large automotive stamping dies.


Supported by an investment of $US50m, TFTD has adopted the latest technology to design and produce dies. It has created unique production technology known as ”cloning” which shortens modification time at the later stage of die production and allows production of dies digitally in batches.


With its second plant now finished, TFTD plans to export dies targeting Toyota plants worldwide.


By the end of May, TFTD will have doubled capacity, producing six types of automotive dies rather than the original three.
