The Romanian News Digest reports that Calsonic Kansei plans to invest EUR100m to build a plant in Romania.

The company has set up a new company based in Ploiesti and purchased a land plot near the southern city of Ploiesti, in the Ploiesti Industrial Park, after it studied various other locations in the country.
Calsoni Kansei will make an initial investment of EUR23m and it will complete the full investment in a few stages.
The plant will produce air conditioning and heat exchange products.
“Calsonic Kansei will seek to expand new business opportunities for core products such as air conditioning and heat exchange in Eastern Europe and its neighboring regions where automotive industry is expected to develop in the future”, the company said in a press release.
Calsonic Kansei is partly owned by Nissan.
