AvtoVAZ has posted a 4.83% rise in net profits for the first half of the year to 2.712bn rubles.
The leading Russian carmaker announced today (11 July) that sales had increased 14.7% over the same period last year to 71bn rubles. Sales profit rose 12.4% to 5.15bn rubles, the company said.
Some 369,463 Lada cars were sold domestically and abroad in the period, a rise of 9.2% over the first half of 2005.
Of that total, 48,292 Ladas were exported, a 2.4% climb.
