The new model was designed and engineered at Škoda’s technical centre in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic and is 4,572 mm long, 1,769 mm wide and 1,462 mm high. Boot capacity is 560 litres with the folding rear seats in place.
The new Octavia will be sold with a choice of six engines: 1.4-litre/55 kW and 1.6/75 kW, and new 1.6 FSI/85 kW and 2.0 FSI/110 kW direct injection. The diesels are the 1.9TDI PD/77 kW and 2.0TDI PD/103 kW.
