Bear Stearns auto analyst Peter Nesvold has changed his ratings on both Ford and GM, improving one and downgrading the other.

According to Reuters, the investment group raised Ford’s status to outperform from underperform, while lowering GM’s to underperform from peer perform yesterday (14 August).
As a result, Ford’s share price rose 3% to US$7.59 in morning trading today while GM shares fell slightly on the New York Stock Exchange, the news agency reported.
