Suzuki Motor Corporation has launched the all-new battery-powered e-Every mini commercial vehicle in Japan, which is available as a minibus and as a delivery van.
The e-Every is driven by a battery electric vehicle (BEV) powertrain developed jointly with Toyota Motor Corporation and its small car subsidiary Daihatsu Motor. It is produced by Daihatsu and supplied to Suzuki on an OEM basis. It follows the launch of the equivalent Toyota Pixis battery-powered mini-van model in February.

The e-Every is powered by a 36.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which provides a driving range of up to 257 km when fully charged. The battery pack is fitted under the floor, which provides the vehicle with a low center of gravity and helps maintain stability when driving over bumps and uneven surfaces.
The eAxle, which integrates the motor, inverter, and transaxle, has a maximum power output of 64 PS, which the company pointed out “exceeds that of a turbocharged mini-vehicle, ensuring a powerful performance.”
Suzuki confirmed that the e-Every comes with advanced safety technologies as standard, including an advanced emergency braking system and digital rear-view mirrors, which improve rear visibility when carrying cargo or driving at night. The vehicle has a maximum load capacity of 350 kg.
