Chinese automotive group Geely Holding Group has outlined plans to lift global vehicle sales beyond 6.5 million by 2030 under a new strategic blueprint.
The group said that by the end of the decade, overseas markets should account for more than one-third of its deliveries, and annual revenue is projected to exceed 1tn yuan ($143.39bn).

The five-year plan, titled “One Geely, Leading through Innovation and Integration”, focuses on tighter coordination across brands, technology programmes and supply chains.
New energy vehicles are forecast to make up 75% of sales.
The company aims to cut average research and development cycles and per-model costs by over 30%.
Geely also set out three strategic shifts: moving from manufacturing competitiveness to ecosystem services; pivoting from scale- and cost-led growth towards green and intelligent technologies; and replacing independently run brands with deeper international collaboration.
In 2025, the group reported total sales of 4.1 million vehicles, a 26% increase year on year.
New energy vehicle volumes climbed 58% to 2.2 million units, which the company said placed it seventh globally and made it the fastest-growing automaker among the top ten groups.
Under the “One Geely” framework, brands such as Geely Auto, Geely Galaxy, Lynk & Co and Zeekr will be more closely integrated, alongside the European and US operations of Volvo, Polestar and Lotus.
Technology priorities include intelligent driving systems, digital cockpits, electronic and electrical architectures, batteries and hybrid powertrains, alongside the commercialisation of higher-level autonomous driving.
Geely said it is pursuing industrialisation of semi-solid and solid-state batteries and methanol-hydrogen vehicle technologies, with more than 50,000 such vehicles already operating.
The group plans to deploy 100,000 robotaxis by 2030 through its mobility subsidiaries and to expand air-ground transport services in major Chinese cities.
It will invest an initial 50m yuan from 2026 in a youth innovation and entrepreneurship programme, rising to 300m yuan, and step up recruitment in artificial intelligence and new energy fields.
Sustainability measures include reducing lifecycle emissions, introducing environmentally friendly materials, working with suppliers on carbon-reduction plans and targeting carbon neutrality at key factories.
Geely Auto Group said it has raised its mission to “Making Refined Intelligent Cars for Everyone” and will roll out new hybrid systems, driver-assistance technologies and further overseas expansion within the wider strategy.
