The imminent expansion of the Chinese brand’s offering is another sign of several Chinese OEMs’ aggressive push into the UK car market.
Available in two trim levels and two powertrains, UK buyers can choose between a 1.6-litre pure petrol variant or the brand’s plug-in Super Hybrid System (SHS), comprising an 18.3 kWh battery and a 1.5-litre engine.
With prices starting from GBP29,915 for the petrol and GBP32,000 for the hybrid, the Omoda 7 will be available through OMODA&JAECOO’s UK-wide dealer network from January 2026.
The OMODA 7 Super Hybrid System (SHS) offers a WLTP range of over 700 miles – including 56 miles in EV-only mode.
Capable of fast charging at up to 40 kW, it is claimed the SHS replenishes from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes and includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) via a 3.3 kW port.
