Cast-metal automotive component maker Intermet has signed an exclusive supplier agreement with Metaldyne to provide the majority of their cast parts requirements through to the end of 2007.

Metaldyne produces of engine, driveline, and chassis products.
Steve Lake, president of Intermet’s domestic ferrous group said, “We are extremely pleased with Metaldyne’s decision to use our products and we look forward to continuing our close working relationship. Metaldyne’s decision is indicative of our high quality and consistent delivery performance.”
The castings will be produced by Intermet facilities at their Columbus, Georgia, foundry and the New River foundry in Radford, Virginia.
