German commercial vehicle manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus, part of Volkswagen’s Traton Group, said it plans to strengthen its customer service and aftermarket operations in South Korea, with an increased focus on digitalization as part of the company’s broader “MAN Core 360” integrated, customer-oriented strategy.

MAN sold a total of 754 heavy trucks in South Korea last year, according to industry data, down by 9.5% on the previous year.

The company plans to launch the “My MAN Korea” mobile application in July, which will allow drivers to book vehicle maintenance, provide repair and servicing cost estimates, and offer technical information such as vehicle function manuals.

MAN Truck & Bus Korea’s CEO, Peter Andersson, told reporters: “This marks a first for a foreign commercial vehicle brand to offer such convenience features.”

The company also plans to expand its service network, with the addition of a new service centre in Gyeonggi Province in the fourth quarter of 2025, bringing the total number of service outlets to 23 nationwide.

Last year, the company launched MAN Korea Financial Services last year, offering customer-tailored financial solutions to help boost sales.
