Toyota Motor Corporation confirmed it has begun construction of its new Tokyo Head Office in the city’s Shinagawa Station West Exit Area District, with completion scheduled for the 2030 financial year (FY2030).
Japan’s leading automaker said it expects the new Tokyo Head Office, located in one of Japan’s most important transportation hubs, will help it transform into an integrated mobility company with a focus on two major themes: carbon neutrality and expanding the value of mobility.

Toyota said the new head office will be a key base for leading these initiatives and will also serve as a centre for collaborative creation with a diverse group of partners from both inside and outside the company. “More specifically, it will be an engineer-first environment that serves as a development base for software, AI, and other forms of intelligence, complete with functions that enable development while seeing and touching actual mobility vehicles and a layout that enables open communication across all levels.”
Toyota President Koji Sato confirmed: “The new Tokyo Head Office will be a key base for Toyota’s transformation into a Mobility Company. We will create an environment where diverse talents can come together and unleash their creativity, accelerating our efforts to enrich lives through mobility.
