TrueView is the brand name of a 3D vision-guided robotics system used in the automotive and auto part precision manufacturing and assembly. TrueView combines the technology and expertise of ABB, the world’s largest robotics company, with Braintech’s VGR technologies.


In a statement, Braintech said the recent Ford orders follow pending and completed installations at six other Blue Oval manufacturing facilities. The systems used by Ford Powertrain process multiple part styles including heads, blocks, manifolds, housings and converters and allow for flexible automation in the areas of machining, assembly, and material handling. Initially installed in Ford’s engine plants, they are also now used in multiple transmission facilities.
