Solaris Bus & Coach has signed a contract to supply 89 Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric buses to Swedish bus operator Nobina Sverige for use in Stockholm, Sweden.
Scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2026, these buses will operate on both urban and suburban routes across the Stockholm area.

These buses, featuring Solaris High Energy batteries, each measure 15m in length.
Solaris Sverige AB CEO Sverre Skaar said: “Delivering yet another substantial batch of our 15m fully electric buses, proofs that Nobina’s continued trust in our organisation and the quality of our products.

The latest order follows Nobina’s 2024 purchase, which included 55 electric buses from Solaris for use in Stockholm and an additional 28 buses designated for the Skåne region.
Since 2003, Solaris, part of the Spanish CAF Group, has delivered nearly 800 buses to date. The company sold a total of 1,525 vehicles in 2024, marking a 4.7% increase from 2023.
This surge in sales boosted the group’s revenue to €927m ($1bn), representing a 13% increase from the previous year.
Significantly, battery buses, hydrogen buses, trolleybuses, and hybrid vehicles made up a record 83% of the company’s sales in 2024.
Additionally, in February, Solaris has made strides in the Nordic region with an order from Norway’s Vy Buss for three Urbino 9 LE electric buses.
This order signifies the introduction of Solaris’ compact, zero-emission battery-electric vehicle to the Nordic market.
