Xpeng also revealed plans to launch local assembly of its X9 and G6 models in Indonesia in the second half of 2025, for the local market and for export to neighbouring right-hand drive markets. The company confirmed that local production will enable it to “provide more efficient, customized solutions to Indonesian consumers as well as other key markets.”
ERAL’s CEO Djohan Sutanto said in a statement: “ERAL is proud to be at the forefront of XPENG’s journey in Indonesia. Our deep understanding of the local market and commitment to innovation-driven brands position us uniquely to support XPENG’s growth. Together, we are introducing a new era of smart, sustainable mobility in Indonesia, with an emphasis on customer experience and service excellence.”
Xpeng is stepping up its overseas expansion this year with its “Going Global 2.0” strategy, with the aim of establishing a presence in 60 markets and regions around the world by the end of 2025, targeting Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific regions in particular. The company also entered the Malaysian market this month, with the launch of the X9 model.
