CHINA: GM to produce 40,000 vehicles in China venture in 2000
It has been reported that General Motors Corp. plans to produce upward of 40,000 units at its Shanghai, China, assembly facility in 2000, double the 20,000 units produced in 1999.
The plant produces four Buick sedan models and the Buick GL-8 minivan, both designed specifically for the Chinese market.
