Consumers buying the F-150 regular cab pickup with no rear seat will get the extra cash throughout this upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend, which is one of the strongest vehicle sales periods of the year, Ford spokesman Jim Cain reportedly said.
Reuters noted that, earlier this month, General Motors raised cash rebates to consumers on many of its mid-size and full-size sport utility vehicles by $500 to $4,000.
Large incentives are expected to increase vehicle sales about 4% for the month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 17.0 million or more, analysts reportedly said.
