Fiat Auto has revived the Croma nameplate for a new large hatchback model that will make its first public appearance at Geneva motor show in March. It will go on sale in Italy during June.
The new Croma was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and will be built at Fiat Auto’s Cassino. The name was last used on a medium-large saloon between 1985 and 1994, with over 450,000 sold. That model shared its platform with Lancia’s Thema, Alfa Romeo’s 164 and the Saab 9000 while the new car shares the GM Europe Opel Vectra architecture.
