The Luton-built Vivaro double cab, with red and grey soft leather seats for six, and three cubic metres of cargo space was created as a styling exercise.

The specification includes hand sewn leather seats, alloy wheels, front fog lamps, flame red paintwork and exclusive VXR decals.

The van also has body colour bumpers with black rubbing strip to accentuate the colour, chrome side bars, a rear roof spoiler, and double chrome exhausts.

In the load bay there’s a polypropylene lining kit – easy to clean and lightweight – and a wooden floor.

Cabin equipment includes electric windows, air conditioning, solar reflective windscreen, ultrasonic alarm system and uprated stereo radio/CD player/satellite navigation system.

Although these concept modifications are not yet intended to become available as options for production vans, Vauxhall said it is keeping an open mind as to whether they’ll be added to the Vivaro catalogue in future.

In the meantime, the tricked-up van will support VXR promotions throughout the UK this summer at events such as British Touring Car Championship meetings.
