Designated TC94A54MFG and TC94A60MFG, the new devices are targeted at car-audio applications and feature high-quality audio output in I(2)S, S/PDIF or analogue stereo formats.


They integrate a CD servo, RF amplifier, compressed audio decoder, 1Mbit SRAM and digital-to- analog converter (DAC) in a system-in-package (SiP) solution; these features are also available in two discrete chips.


The innovative TC94A60MFG chip is claimed to be the world’s first single-chip Adaptive TRansform Acoustic Coding (ATRAC) CD decoder.
