Opel will launch a new Roadster, called GT, on the European market in the spring of 2007, reports Automobilwoche. It will be built in the US at the Saturn plant in Wilmington, Delaware and use the Kappa architecture that forms the basis of the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky.

Around 1,500 units will be old annually in Germany, according to Automobilwoche.
The name is borrowed from a 2-seater built at Ruesselsheim in the 1970s. It was sold under the slogan, “only flying is better,” now used to sell the Astra GTC, reports the paper.
Automobilwoche estimates the car will go on sale for less than €30,000.
