Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 9% of the total new job postings in Q1 2024 and were down by 30% year-on-year. Second highest were Sales and Related Occupations, which accounted for 8% and drop by 36% year-on-year, and third highest were Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations, which were 37% of the new job postings and 49% lower year-on-year.

Top five companies in automotive industry accounted for 55% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Evans Cycles with 1,273, followed by Redde Northgate with 920, while the highest increase was at Halfords Group at 64%.
