JAPAN: Toyota Boshoku to make seats and door trims in South Africa
Toyota Boshoku will begin production of seats and door trims for motor vehicles in Durban, South Africa, in April 2006 to meet demands for increased auto output by Toyota in South Africa, Kyodo News reported.

The auto parts maker, a Toyota affiliate, will invest 4.5 billion yen in the project. Toyota is expanding the production capacity of its South African unit.
Toyota Boshoku also said it will build a second plant in Adapazari, Turkey, at a cost of 3.8 billion yen to manufacture frames and other parts for automobile seats from October 2006, according to the report.
