The first of the two new facilities located in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico supplies exhaust systems in sequence to the Ford Hermosillo assembly plant. This facility uses the Insequence SPD Pro Spanish language JIS software. The second of the new facilities is located in Louisville and supplies exhaust systems to the Ford Louisville truck plant.
Both the Hermosillo and Louisville facilities sequence parts using Insequence’s SPD Pro v.6 software. SPD Pro provides the ability to receive and process broadcasts from any automotive manufacturer without requiring system customisation.
Additionally Faurecia has upgraded their SPD Pro software at their Lordstown, Ohio facility to allow for real-time build-in-sequence manufacturing utilizing SPD Pro’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) module. Faurecia’s Lordstown facility sequences parts delivery to the General Motors Lordstown assembly plant. The change to build-in-sequence, with extensive error proofing, allows Faurecia to virtually eliminate the need to warehouse finished goods inventory.
