Federation of Thai Industries data showed that AAT’s CBU exports from January to March reached 19,388 units for a 22.3% share of Thailand’s total CBU exports valued at 8.05 billion baht. AAT increased CBU exports for the quarter 32.4% year on year, up 4,724 units from 14,664 units.


In the first quarter, AAT’s completely knocked-down (CKD) exports reached 10,060 units – a 39% increase year on year, and worth 2.21 billion baht, Total exports for the first quarter were worth 10.26 billion baht.


AAT’s said new versions of its Ranger truck line (different to the North American markets Ford-brand model) contributed to the first quarter results.


In 2004, AAT’s annual production reached 139,371 units comprising 106,191 CBU units and 33,180 CKD units. Of CBU production, more than 70% were built for export and all CKD packs were shipped to other countries.


AAT exports the Ford Ranger and Mazda Fighter pickup trucks to more than 130 countries worldwide. It also ships its Ford Everest seven-seat SUV to more than 50 countries.
