ProLogium and Mahle have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on solid state batteries.

The companies plan to create a thermal management system tailored for future ProLogium batteries.

The companies said the joint effort would play a crucial role towards puting “commercially viable solid state battery solutions” on sale and promised better safety, energy density, and lifespan.

They would work on essential cell tests, primarily evaluating thermal properties.

The collaboration is cooling system specialist Mahle’s first venture into solid state batteries.

The companies will also discuss building prototypes of solid state cell modules and battery packs.
