Collins & Aikman Corporation’s Old Fort, N.C., facility was recently presented with an “excellent,” performance rating by DaimlerChrysler Corporation.
The rating, which was an overall 98 percent, was based on DaimlerChrysler’s Supplier Rating Criteria, which includes quality, delivery, cost reductions and minority sourcing. The Old Fort manufacturing facility employs approximately 740 people who produce interior fabrics and molded floor carpets for DaimlerChrysler’s Dodge Ram truck T-300 regular and extended cabs, Dodge Dakota and Dodge Stratus vehicles.
