The German News Digest reports that a new study says that Volkswagen has to close down its Brussels plant in order to cut overcapacity. The study is authored by Ferdinand Dudenhoeffer of the B&D automotive trend scout organisation in Leverkusen, published on September 5, 2005.

According to Dudenhoeffer, VW’s overcapacities amount to one million vehicles a year, and the closure of the Brussels plant of the group will substantially improve the situation.
