DaimlerChrysler has taken over the German unit of fuel cell developer Ballard Power Systems together with Ford.
According to Reuters, DaimlerChrysler said in a statement the acquisition was part of a restructuring of Ballard’s relationship with the carmakers, which both have stakes in the Canadian company.
