GERMANY: It’s official – Zetsche to replace Cordes as head of Mercedes
Mercedes head Eckhard Cordes will leave DaimlerChrysler “at his own request” on August 31 after 29 years of service, DC confirmed in a statement on Thursday.
Mercedes head Eckhard Cordes will leave DaimlerChrysler “at his own request” on August 31 after 29 years of service, DC confirmed in a statement on Thursday.
The company confirmed that Dieter Zetsche, currently head of the Chrysler group, would vecome chairman of the DaimlerChrysler board from January 1 but would also head the Mercedes Car from September 1.
Tom LaSorda will head Chrysler Group from September 1 and Eric Ridenour will succeed LaSorda as chief operating officer at Chrysler.
Ridenour has also been appointed to the DC board for three years starting September 1.
