Hyundai Motor has appointed Guy Pigounakis its new UK sales director.

Pigounakis, with over 20 years industry experience at a senior level, has joined recently appointed managing director Tony Whitehorn as another new executive board member at Hyundai UK, the new ‘factory-owned’ distributor which replaced a privately-held company last summer.
Pigounakis, 47, has worked mostly with Rover Cars and latterly MG Rover.
He said: “Hyundai is widely recognised as a car company on the way up in the UK and globally. To be a part of that will be both challenging and exciting.”
Managing director Whitehorn said: “He is well known and very highly regarded within the industry and we are delighted he is joining Hyundai.”
