According to IranMania news service, motor exports totalled US$179m from April to December this year, more than doubling since 2004.
During the period, $85m worth of vehicles and passenger cars were exported – a 76% increase.
Iran’s earnings from exports to various countries reportedly included $55m from Syria – ranking it the largest export market for Iranian passenger cars.
Tyre and tube exports increased 25% year-on-year to US$9m.
