For the January to October period, sales totalled 3,422,272 units, up 2.7% from a year earlier, the report added.

Minivehicle sales in October rose 12% from a year earlier to 147,550 units, the Japan Mini Vehicle Association told Reuters, which noted that October marked the first rise in seven months in sales of the 660cc vehicles, which account for roughly one-third of the domestic market.
