Mexico’s vehicle industry produced 142,142 vehicles in October, down 14.1% from a year ago, the Mexican Automotive Industry Association said on Wednesday, according to Reuters.

Exports by car makers based in Mexico totalled 103,197 units in October, down 15.2% compared with a year ago, the association added.
Mexico, which manufactured 1.774 million vehicles in 2002, down 2.4% from 2001, is the 10th-largest producer in the world and major automakers there include General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen and DaimlerChrysler.
