Former Porsche engineering chief Wolfgang Durheimer will take over the hot seat next month from Franz-Joseph Paefgen who is retiring.

Paefgen has been Bentley boss for nine years. He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Crewe, a period during which the company has seen the fruits of the investment by the Volkswagen Group and we returned to Le Mans and won.”
He leaves the company on a high note with sales up 11% globally last year while production of the Mulsanne for the whole of this year is sold out.
“Sales in Europe and the US have held up but we grew by 87% in China and Hong Kong, now are third largest market and it will become the number one before long.”
