Mazda will preview a new small crossover expected to be called the CX-5 at the Geneva show in March.
The concept, called Minagi, will also showcase the automaker’s new so-called Skyactiv engine, transmission and body construction technologies which, it said, “represent the harmony between driving pleasure and outstanding environmental and safety performance”.

The Ford Kuga-sized CX-5 will supplement the larger CX-7 and CX-9 sold worldwide.
Mazda said recently replacements for its top-selling C-segment 3 and D-segment 6 lines will be at least 100kg lighter than their predecessors and have emissions of less than 120g/km by 2012, and then 105g/km by 2015.
