Russian car sales are expected to rise by 20% to 35% this year as consumer spending grows and a government sponsored scrappage scheme continues to aid buyers, accountants PricewaterhouseCoopers said on Thursday.
The estimate came in above that given by the Association of European Businesses (AEB) last week, which said sales would rise 17% to 2.24m, a Reuters report noted.

PWC also said that 2010 sales rose 31% to US$33.7bn, the report added.
