Blog: Dave LeggettVolkswagen gets aggressive?

I came across this piece in the Telegraph that surprised me. Volkswagen is not exactly renowned for its low prices in the British car market, but it looks like it has been getting a little aggressive of late.

And why not? Industrial strength perhaps gives VW the room to do that and maybe the company sees an opportunity to quietly gain more share in the British market. There's a very nicely specced entry Golf available. And maybe Ford has been trying to go a little the other way given that it has had some hit models on its hands, very healthy order books, and the net result is that VW's prices - spec for spec - now look pretty competitive.
