Blog: Dave LeggettR2 D2's Roller?

Hey, it's Friday. Still waiting to hear news out of GM....Do you recall Star Wars? The first tranche of films that is. Classics. Empire is my personal favourite...

A 1982 Rolls-Royce Corniche Mulliner Park Ward Coupe that was once the property of Kenny Baker, the man inside the much-loved Star Wars robot R2 D2, is to be auctioned at the next H&H sale, Buxton, July 25/26.

The only person to feature in all six Star Wars films, Birmingham-born Baker has appeared in many other productions over the years – invariably in the role of a dwarf, owing to his diminutive height of just 3 ft 8 in.

The pretty blue Corniche shows just over 63,000 miles on its odometer and is estimated to fetch £11,000-13,000.
