I'll be taking a Toyota Prius out for a test drive later today. I've got to make my way to Windsor racecourse, so I'm waiting for the morning rush to die down before setting off. At least it's not raining today - it has been precipitating solidly for the last 48 hours. Toyota has sent me some bumpf on the technical characteristics of the hybrid synergy drive. Sounds pretty impressive in terms of overall energy efficiency. One thing I'll be loooking for is the size of the battery - in past hybrids they've taken up quite a bit of room.
