I'm getting a definite sense of deja vu about the report that Hyundai Motor is denying media articles - citing a Hyundai Motor source - that the Czech Republic has been chosen as the location for Hyundai Motor's first European plant. The media splash keeps the pot boiling nicely and will focus attention in other countries as well as the Czech Republic. Negotiators dealing with HM will, perhaps, be offering slightly better terms to attract the investment now. Decision not 'till March? That leaves a few months for some tough negotiations with potential sites' government authorities and brokers - looks like a buyers' market. Plenty of countries in central Europe are in the pot.
