Blog: Dave LeggettHonda Accord prices

Dave Leggett | 6 August 2003

Looks like we're not the only ones to note the high price of Honda's new Euro Accord in the UK. After yesterday's blog comparing UK and New Zealand retails for essentially the same models, we heard from an American reader who said: "I am surprised to see that NZ pricing is so low on the Accord, but the UK price is still ridiculous.

"Honda have recently launched the Japanese Accord in the US as the Acura TSX. The only models available are high spec ones with leather and the 2.4-litre VTEC engine. Base price is £16,500 for a six-speed [manual] or auto and, with sat nav and every possible extra this goes up to £17,700. Still a long way off the UK prices," [which, as we pointed out are £16,000 for a base two-litre manual, £19,100 for the 2.4 manual sport and £22,100 for a loaded 2.4 auto Executive].

Our reader also notes: "These are also available on three-year leases for under £300 per month. Wonder how this compares with the UK?"
