Blog: Dave LeggettGlobal warming

Let's face it, we don't want to spend too much time dwelling on man-made global warming and its effects do we? At the back of our minds there's always the thought that the scientists are still arguing over whether or not it really exists, likely timescales and effects. It's a blurred picture. And he has been briefed by top scientists. He usually picks his words carefully. As I say, just a little unsettling.

And did you see the lastest floods in Dhaka in the news? The worst for fifty years apparently. And the Maldives are slowly disappearing. Some people on an island off Alaska are even being evacuated permanently because of rising temperatures and sea levels there. And there have been more hurricanes than usual this year I believe. Come to think of it, the weather seems to be weirder than normal all over the world these days. Right. That's enough of that. Strong coffee and a glossy car magazine full of lovely dream machines required...
