With Ford and GM confirming that they each lost well over a billion dollars in Q3, it was not a great week for Detroit was it? But it does look like GM is showing more initiative and purpose than Ford right now in trying to deal with the structural issues that they both face. As if GM is acting as ice breaker and the freighter that is Ford is at dead slow in its wake, with Bill Ford on the bridge eyeing both the ice breaker and the pack ice and wondering what to do next.
