The planned investment of Daimler into Russian truckmaker Kamaz may be postponed.

German daily Handelsblatt reported that the mood in the Daimler boardroom has turned cooler on investing in a stake in Kamaz.

"Kamaz is no longer a high priority," the paper cited a person familiar with the situation as saying.

Daimler is in the process of purchasing a 42% stake in Kamaz.

The deal could be closed in 2009 instead of 2008, Andrei Sharonov, head of Daimler's negotiation partner Troika Dialog said, according to the newspaper.
