Mitsubishi has cut British retail prices for the second time in a year while Nissan has announced reductions of up to 13.2%.

Having left prices of the then-new Shogun [Pajero] SUV range untouched last time, the UK importer has now slashed up to £3,500 off these models giving an average cut of 12%.

Prices of the newly-introduced five-door Shogun Pinin [Pagero iO] have also been reduced by up to £1,005 and the three-door range now starts £1,500 lower.

Mitsubishi has also knocked several hundred pounds off some Colt and Space Star models.

Meanwhile, Nissan, the last volume maker in the UK to hold out against industry-wide price reductions, said it will cut its prices on 1 January 2001 by as much as 13.2 per cent.
