USA: Toyota plastics supplier first to set up near new pickup plant - report

Toyota supplier Tasus Corp. will build an injection moulding plant in Georgetown, Texas, to supply Toyota's new pickup truck plant currently under construction in nearby San Antonio, according to BRG Townsend's Automotive Newswire.

Tasus will invest $US13 million in the new plant that will employ about 102 people and is said to be the first of several Toyota suppliers that will establish facilities in the region, the report said.

Automotive News wire said Tasus injection moulds a variety of automotive parts, including acylic lighting system lenses, and is headquartered in Bloomington, Indiana, where it has another moulding plant.
